“Racíes Unidas:” Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at UM

Hispanic Heritage Month was officially recognized as a national month by the United States government in 1988. Annually, Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes the contributions, history, and influences the Hispanic community has on our nation. At UM, the celebrations are led by the Alliance of Latin American Students (ALAS) who spend the month sharing their culture.
